Head for the tiny parking area at LL65 3LF, 2 miles south of Caergelliog then continue down the estuary 1 mile. You can also walk up from Rhosneigr, across Traeth Crigyll (dog restrictions apply at Traeth Crigyll)

A beautiful golden sandy beach that spans a good length of Rhosneigr, popular with windsurfers, surfers and kitesurfers.

Rhosneigr, Anglesey

Trwyn beach is tucked away a short walk off the lane, best at low tide. Nearby Church Bay is busier, with café and restaurant.

Signed “Church Bay” off A5025 at Llanfaetlu. After 1 ¼ mile find the track and parking area on L, with footpath sign and info board. For Church Bay continue on road another mile.

There are several beautiful coves and an awe-inspiring backdrop of mountains.

In Newborough, turn opp post office, past LL61 6SG. Follow the beach track NW 1 mile

Rhoscolyn is a great little beach for a short walk, it also has its own slipway for ease of access.

Remote and rugged it great for some peace and quiet. The eastern end of the beach is a rocky outcrop.

A beautiful large, sandy beach sloping to the sea. Cafes, toilet facilities, and car parks nearby.

At low tide, a sea cave with amazing coloured rocks is accessible ½ a mile west from parking at Porth Dafarch. Please check tide times and be safe.

Head down the coast road from Trearddur Bay Hotel.

Owned by the National Trust, Porth Dafarch is a sheltered sandy beach nestling below rugged headland. Great for snorkelling.

LL65 2LS

Also known as Porth Llechog, this little, sheltered cove is overlooked by a small village. With facilities nearby and plenty of rock pools, it’s a great place to bring the kids.

Amlwch, LL68 9SN

A long, secret sand beach adjacent to the wonderful wild sandflats of the Dulas river estuary.

Footpath leads from behind the Pilot Boat pub (LL70 9EX) up to heathland then down the beach, bearing L at Penrhyn. Alternatively, walk from road end past LL70 9DJ at low tide or follow cast path N from popular Traeth Lligwy with parking.
